The Original Relationship

As all of you know, I've been sharing a five part sermon series presented by a good friend of mine that pastors a church in Loveland, Colorado.

I am not married but one day, Lord willing, I will be.  This sermon series is profound.  I would encourage all to listen to it... those who are married and those who are not (like me).  It gives a lot of insight on the differences between men and women that are super helpful.

For your convenience, I'm posting the link (below) to where you can find all of the sermon videos and watch them at your leisure.  Trust me, you won't regret it - it is worth the time.

"In the first earthly relationship God saw Himself.  The romance was a picture of God.  So it was there that the devil began his work.  Ever since we have viewed God on the basis of our relationships instead of adjusting our relationship to reveal God."  - Micheal Goetz

A little update on life...

Shortly after finding out about my acceptance to the University of Pittsburgh, US News and World Report released college rankings.  The University of Pittsburgh ranked number one in the country for their Nurse Anesthesia Program.

I could not believe it.  I was accepted into the top ranked school in the country for anesthesia!  They picked me!  After some good reflection on my life, the conclusion I've made is that God has a funny way of disappointing me.  Disappointing me according to my wants and my terms.  Hallelujah!  What I thought was the end of the world truly was not.  He surprised me in a way that I couldn't even imagine a year ago in the midst of my defeat.  Loma Linda's CRNA program was not the place for me, which was a tough pill to swallow.  God turns around and icings the cake by putting me into the number one program in the country.  Oh me of little faith! Mercy!  Thank you Lord, I am so unworthy of Your blessings.

In other news, I've been enjoying my time here in California! I've been hiking, biking, and exploring all of its goodness.  Life really can't get any better.  Here are some pictures of my adventures...

Pastor William finally made it to California on a vacation!

In the tree... the really big Sequoia tree!

My little Honda tunneled in the tree... the really big Sequoia tree!

Just a picture to show how truly big they are... we look like peanuts!
